    • How much does the event cost? 
    • The event is FREE to the public! All amusements, inflatables, face painting, glitter tattoos, and photo booth are available at no cost. Food vendors will sell food at the event. 

    • What is the event schedule? 
    • The event starts at 5:00pm with fireworks at 9:30pm. Parking is not guaranteed after 8:00pm. 

      DJ, amusements, food trucks, face painting, and photo booth are available from 5:00pm to 8:45pm.

      A live performance by the Loudoun Symphonic Winds will begin at 8:45pm and play through the fireworks. 

    • Is alcohol allowed? 
    • Alcohol is prohibited on park property including during the Independence Day Celebration.

    • Can I bring my own fireworks? 
    • Please leave your personal fireworks at home! All personal fireworks, including sparklers, are prohibited on park property. 

    • Will there be music? 
    • Yes. DJ from 5:00pm to 8:45pm and live music from Loudoun Symphonic Winds from 8:45pm through fireworks. 

    • Are there restrooms available? 
    • Yes. There are portable restrooms located directly across from the event field. 

    • Are drones allowed? 
    • Please leave your personal drones at home.

    • Are pets allowed? 
    • No pets are allowed in the fireworks viewing and event areas. 

    • Where can I find an ATM machine? 
    • There are several banks located in the Town of Purcellville. 

    • Can I bring my own pop up tent? 
    • Yes. Please take personal tents down prior to the fireworks show as to not obstruct other's view and properly secure them when up.

    • Can I bring my own food? 
    • Outside food and drinks are allowed at the event excluding alcohol.

    • What food will be available at the event?

    • What time do the fireworks begin? 
    • The fireworks show will begin at 9:30pm.

    • Is there a rain date? 
    • The event rain date is Friday July 5th. If postponed, the event will consist of only a fireworks show at 9:30pm. 

    • Can I enter through a different way other than the main entrance to the park? 
    • All patrons must enter through the main park entrance on Business 7. Please do not enter the park from the perimeter trail, Town of Round Hill Trail, or surrounding neighborhoods as some areas of the park will be blocked off due to safety reasons. 

    • Can I rent a pavilion? 
    • There are no pavilion rentals available on July 4th or July 5th.

    • Is the Franklin Park Pool open on July 4th? 
    • Yes! The pool will be open from 11:00am - 4:00pm on July 4th. For pool related questions please contact the pool front desk at 540-338-7492.

    • How many people do you expect? 
    • We expect anywhere from 3,000-5,000 people at the event.  

    • What ages are recommended for this event? 
    • This is a family friendly, all ages welcome, event. Whether it is face painting and bounce houses for little ones, or rock climbing and giant slides, there is something for everyone! All activites are free.

    • Is the event accessible to everyone? 
    •  Accessible parking is available upon request when entering park. Event area is grass with uneven terrain.

    • Will the event impact other areas of the park? 
    •  Yes. Portions of the disc golf course, perimeter and equestrian trail, The Arts Center and Park Offices will be closed to the public. 

    • Where should I go if I have a missing child or a medical emergency? 
    • The first aid station located near the DJ will act as a command center for the event.

    • Where can I find updates on event or schedule changes? 
    • In the case of severe weather, a cancelation notice will be posted on the Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services Facebook page.
